We supported the Converse Día De Muertos Celebration and Mural Unveiling campaign by helping co-produce WORD, an LA community activation celebrating the LA Mexican Culture in LA via an authentic yet intriguing Día De Muertos celebration. We focused on creating a welcoming space for families, the youth, and everyone else that wanted to explore, connect and celebrate DDM. We co-curated the event activations, five LA performances, six food and drink local businesses, two community workshops, and eight market vendors selected by Mujeres Market Place and the creative direction. We activated the local community and influencers and brought two hundred guests for one culture night to the unveiling of a mural by LA artist Mr. B Baby that represented the intergenerational culture of LA and the deep history of the venue, La Plaza de la Raza. We were inspired by the sentiment of embracing a tradition that can connect all in LA as the community of a multicultural city.
