We curated the experience for fifty Color of Compton organization students. Color of Compton is an organization geared towards working with the youth to build community relationships among people of color while exploring identity and creating art. We focused on building a program to introduce wellness and self-awareness practices through culturally relevant healers to intentionally construct habits to connect with the inner self and manage daily-life challenges. We also made sure to collaborate with local businesses from food and production vendors that have wellness practices. We aimed to have the activation be zero waste and introduce sustainability practices.
